Some heroes are not used as much in inhouses, not because they're bad, but because there are other heroes that fulfill the same niche.

Lich > naga
This is the most obvious case. Both heroes have an aoe nuke, a slow, a survival spell, and a channeling ultimate of death. However, nova > lighting, nova slow > frost arrows, frost armor > evasion (you can cast it on anything), death and decay > tornado.

All other stun heroes > Assassin
Assassin just doesn't have the synergies that other stun heroes have. And mirror images are so useless.

Panda > TC
I'm going to get flamed a lot on this one. Both heroes are hard farmers but panda is used a lot more. I think this is because the role of a farmer is to level as fast as possible, which panda can do better. One of the reasons for this is that panda's ult gives him a huge boost when he reaches level 11 while tc's ult is more passive. In my opinion, the only benefit tc has over panda is that he has an aoe disable.

I think we should differentiate these heroes a lot more, especially naga and lich.

In my opinion, the only benefit tc has over panda is that he has an aoe disable. Completely disagree on this point. I would always be more afraid of a level 18 TC than a level 18 Panda. Panda is just a nab hero imo. Just haze, flame, run around some more. He will always be a threat and therefore is more likely to have full attention. TC however, not that big of a deal until level 10. When he gets to level 10, he farms better than a Panda ever could.

fuku is right. naga has pretty much never been picked, we hardly can tell how good she is atm...

lvl 18 tc is less scary too me.
a good panda player will wreck bases with flame as he farms, tc does not.

tc seems to be more scary because he can just hang out in your base while panda is more fragile.

it seems to me that most tc players in inhouses that get to 18 are better than those pandas who get to 18. the tc's have a higher % of winning maybe, idk. I say it's the aoe stomp.

no offense monkey but I think you (are trying to) regard the game with some sort of "static" view. You cannot say Lich > Naga as some sort of general fact because if there was a single pala in the game it would immediately change to naga > lich since the lich is likely getting perma focused and cannot really operate.

Yea, it's just a loose view. But generally, 90% of the time, I would want a lich over a naga. With the pally addition, sure, you would like naga, but I could make the same argument with dk.

well, it was just meant as an example of how it isn't always lich > naga (since I had the impression that you wanted to generalize that)

ok so I played naga twice in inhouses today.
first inhouse we dominated early game, also due to the fact that our lich/naga could just nuke their faery dragon to death.
2nd inhouse didn't go so well, but naga was still really decent. especially because you can farm bases so well with evasion. please don't change her skillset, because I think evasion is quite strong, tech focus can't really harm her too much.
thats probably the advantage compared to lich, whos survival depends very much on frost armor which can be dispelled unlike evasion.
also tornado is still a good spell. mostly because the cooldown is still pretty nice and because it does a good deal of damage to bases. the slow effect isnt that imba anymore and the range is way smaller but all in all I still think naga is a very inhouse viable hero.

edit @ roar: also what I forgot to mention, when my naga was hexed, your jaood killed me multiple times without missing a single attack. does hex disable evasion??

I have used more naga than litch. But thats cuz many ppl use litch and i dont wana. I know dnd is better than cyclone but dont really know the cooldown on dnd but on cyclone its kinda low. Thats good. The being an undead hero also makes them very different and usable for different combos. I like cold arrow lvl 3 better for slowing than nova, if they dont have speed boost they can almost never run.

Panda > TC any lvl my opinion. but for panda to be strong he has to have his ultimate.
